A Heat Pump Reverse Cycle Air Conditioner (RCAC) is the most efficient method of heating and cooling you home. Heat Pumps have a COP (Coefficient of Performance) of 3-4 , meaning for every unit of electrical energy put in, 3-4 heat/cooling units are produced.

You could also consider installing an Infrared Heat Panel in those rooms that an RCAC is not always possible.
